Cinnamon Can Lower Blood Sugar
Cinnamon contains phytochemicals which can mimic insulin's ability to increase uptake of sugar by the cells. You can start seeing results by taking just 1g of cinnamon.

Hi Jonny! I read your book 150 Healthiest Foods and loved it! The section on the cinnamon tea really interested me. You advise to use 3 rounded tablespoons a day in the mixture. I did a little research and found that most of the studies showing cinnamon's ability to help control blood sugar use less than 2 teaspoons a day. Why does the tea mixture need so much more?- 6x more to be exact. And can you please enlighten my on what the baking soda does in the drink? Thank you so much! -Kevin
