Quote of the Day

I'm excited about all the changes coming to my website in the Fall — more articles, recipe of the week, "Ask Jonny" question of the month (taken from my Ask Jonny Bowden website..

And maybe even a "quote of the month"...

But I just found a quote that's so good I couldn't wait for the new website changes, so I wanted to share it with you now. It's a great way to begin the Fall season. And while it was not written with weight loss in mind, it sure does apply.

It also illustrates my number one "mantra" which is this: What applies to one thing in your life usally applies to everything else as well. Or, as I'm also fond of saying, "The way you do one thing is the way you do everything."

Here's the quote. Enjoy.

"When you drive your vehicle from place to place, you have an awareness of your starting place as well as an awareness of where you are going. You accept that you cannot get there instantaneously; you accept that you will travel the distance, and in time, you will arrive at your destination. And while you may feel anxious to get there, and maybe even tire of the journey, you do not get so discouraged at the midway mark that you just turn around and go back to your starting place. You do not drive back and forth and back and forth from your starting point to the midway point and then finally collapse from the never-ending journey."

Great quote and I'm super excited to see the changes to your website, especially the recipe of the week.
